Welcome!  The KiwiClub was shut down for good on December 9, 1999.  It ran continuously from December 1993 to December 1999.  The KiwiClub server provided links to financial pages on the web and was twice named one of the top one hundred web sites in the world by PC Computing.
You may have been automatically routed to this server but the purpose of the server is in a state of flux as is its name.  This server is maintained by Richard MacMinn.  This web currently provides a few financial links plus lectures, notes, and syllabi on corporate finance,  financial markets and corporate theory.

Classes

Business Finance - Finance 357
This is the first undergraduate course in corporate finance. The course stresses the time value of money, risk and return, capital budgeting, the cost of capital, leverage, and capital structure. As I move toward a more electronic classroom this course is becoming paper less.

The course has been substantially revised. Students can access their scores on the class roster, access a formula sheet that is linked to lectures and problems, receive automated e-mail responses for assignment submissions, and more.

Corporate Finance - Finance 374C
This is the second undergraduate course in corporate finance. The course stresses the theoretical foundations of corporate finance. In addition to the standard fare of capital budgeting and capital structure this course includes topics such as the market for corporate control and the use of derivatives in managing corporate risk.
Uncertainty in Economics and Finance - Finance 395.2
This is one of the core courses in the finance Ph. D. program. The course develops the notions of risk, risk aversion, prudence, arbitrage, and equilibria in economies that include financial markets. The impact that adverse selection and moral hazard problems have on the existence and properties of market equilibria is also stressed.

Toward a Virtual Classroom
This is the rough draft of a talk on implementing the notion of a virtual classroom. It was originally delivered at the 1995 American Economic Association Meetings in San Francisco. Although it was revised in March of 1997, the technology is changing so rapidly that it is already outdated.
